About Piggy and Cat

We like to eat and try out different cuisines, but we are not professional food tasters and we do not possess knowledge about serving food nor we are experts in catering industry.
Our logo was chosen carefully—a leg of a piggy and cat.

Lorenzo & Kakalamba

August

"Where you eat good" is a literal translation of their slogan. However, the strongest impression that you have after visiting this place is their extravagant interior, not the food. Just to make a small introduction, the cuisine of Lorenzo & Kakalamba is a mixture of Italian and Serbian food, to be more precise, two cities are in question—Florence and Pirot. Even though these might not seem as a perfect fit, you have to give it a try.

Daily potage half/half is what we would recommend, because you can choose the ingredients that you like the most and yes, all of their soups taste great.

The first time we have visited Lorenzo, the main courses were breathtaking, but the second time not so much. It was tasty all right, but some dishes came out cold and we waited too long, plus the waiters were rude and we were seated in a non-smokers area with smokers just two tables away from us and according to our waiter, that was just fine!

We have tasted these: chicken fillet filled with gorgonzola, served with sautéed vegetables, Velouté sauce and pistachios, handmade ravioli stuffed with ricotta, spinach and parmesan, grilled steak, with crispy potatoes and grilled vegetables and the salad of our choice is always rocket salad, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts and parmesan.

To sum up, this restaurant has an amazing interior, fair food and not so pleasant personnel.
